Basic Idea
Prompts are starting points to be used in games. They are just used to give your mind direction. If a prompt fails to spark anything, try to think about it more abstractly. How does it make you feel? Break it down into smaller components, explore the concept.
OMusing features an in-browser prompter that can be used to get you started. But, there’s all sorts of sources for prompts:
- Ask a friend
- Find a random post in your social media stream
- Open a book, magazine, or newspaper to a random page
- Trending Twitter tags
- Check out Reddit writing prompts
- Just look around. Anything could lead you somewhere.
